GINGER (
Zingiber officinalis) is used as a
carminative, in indigestion, stomach pain and fever. In Ayurvedic medicine it is used to treat the discomforts caused by the state of disease, both of Kapha and Vata. Ginger is an important component of many Ayurvedic preparations as it is thought to be useful in
abdominal pain, anorexia, atonic dyspepsia, belching, colic, colitis, cough, cystic fibrosis, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, dropsy, flatulence, gallbladder disorders, hyperacidity, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemia, nausea, vomiting. Vaccinium myrtillus) contains anthocyanosides (0.5%), Vitamin B1 and C, provitamin A, tannins (7%), organic acids and flavonic derivatives.
Rebalancer of bacterial flora, excellent for intervening on childhood diarrhea, as the substances contained in the plant are not harmful.
Chamomile (
Matricaria chamomilla) contains bisabolol, protective against gastroduodenal ulcerative lesions and gastritis. The apigenin and glucosides contained in the plant
have spasmolytic and sedative action to the extent of about three times higher than papaverine.
Useful as an anti-inflammatory and spasmolytic of the gastrointestinal tract.
