Notes

Organotropism: cardiovascular system.

Notes on the plan: The hydroalcoholic solution was carried out with the alchemical spagyric method of Solanimus (TSA) which includes all the phases of classical spagyria with the final addition of a specific phase of alchemical philosophy. Spagyria and alchemy have come together to get the best out of the plant. The TSA of Crataegus oxyacantha is obtained by macerating the leaves and flowering tops, freshly harvested in its balsamic time (April-May), in a hydroalcoholic solution. Hawthorn contains essential oil, crategic acid and other active ingredients of which three groups of substances have been isolated: 1) – pentacidal triterpene compounds, 2) – glucoside compounds with flavonoid structure, 3) – catechins, phenolic acids and aminopurines. All these substances intervene to give the plant a hypotensive action (coronary-dilating action of ursolic acid), tonogenic on the heart muscle, thanks to the action of flavon-structured substances (quercetin and vitexin) those substances promote the reabsorption of calcium at the level of the heart muscle by acting mainly on the enzyme c-AMP-phosphodiestarase and thus determining a tonic action on the heart, finally another active ingredient.crategic acid) would directly influence cardiac trophism by acting on lactic acid metabolism and on the oxidation of pyruvic, citric and succinnic acid. From this we can deduce the use of the plant as a cardio-vascular regulator, dilator of the coronary arteries and as a modifier of cardiac trophism.
