The TSA SOLIDAGO VIRGA-AUREA is obtained by macerating the tops, just collected, in a hydroalcoholic solution. The plant contains, in the tops, catechic tannins, triterpene saponins (
polygamic acid), anthocyanins (
nicotiflorin) that allow it to have a
volumetric diuretic effect (
the tincture increases diuresis from 280 to 400%), very relevant azurotic and uricosuric and also an anti-inflammatory and vasoprotective action.
The main use of the tincture is in acute kidney affections and rheumatic affections with an edematous component.
